Pakistan’s ODI and T20 skipper Shahid Khan Afridi is elected to lead one of the seven-team in the SLPL(Sri Lanka Premier League).
Sri Lanka Cricket Board put an offer in front of him which are accepted by Boom Boom. According to Afridi,he has signed a three-year contract, with US$35,000 deal for the first season of the SLPL.Which will be increased in the second season.
He expose it to media by saying that “It’s a good opportunity and I will try to make the most of it, There is a comfortable window for us to feature in the league in Sri Lanka. We have a sufficient break from international cricket this summer.”
Eight Pakistani players are expected to be joining SLPL including Misbah-ul-Haq, Shoaib Akhtar, Abdul Razzaq, Umar Gul and Umar Akmal.
SLPL will be played in July-August at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
