Sussex sign Gul for T20 competition

The Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul has been signed Sussex for this season’s Friends Life T20 competition.Umer gul is the second highest wicket taker in Twenty20 internationals with 47 wickets.

Umer gul will join his countryman Rana Naved-ul-Hasan at Sussex who is already playing for them.This will be the first occasion that Umer Gul will play for County.Gloucestershire signed him in 2007 but he didn’t play because of an ankle injury.

“Coming to Sussex is a privilege and the chance to follow in the footsteps of other Pakistani greats from Imran Khan to Mushtaq Ahmed, and to Rana Naved in the current team, is very exciting,” Gul said.

Gul also played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the first edition of the IPL and for Western Australia in the 2008-09 Big Bash.
